On this day in 1866 was an influential Russian painter and art theorist Wassily Kandinsky was born in Moscow.

Kandinsky was interested in exploration of connection between music and colour. “… lend your ears to music, open your eyes to painting, and … stop thinking! Just ask yourself whether the work has enabled you to “walk about” into a hitherto unknown world. If the answer is yes, what more do you want?” So it would be more than logical to celebrate his birthday with a wonderful video-compilation of his paintings, accompanied by Mozart Piano concert No.23 A major 1st. movement .
